These are very dainty, feminine, and pretty. They are NOT as pink as I had thought or hoped they would be. They are more whitish/pearl colored. They will work for what I want, but I really wish they were more pink. They are good quality.

I love pearls and was excited for some lovely purple ones, but I have to say I was disappointed with the color. I know that when a pearl is classified as purple it is usually a more pale color and often it's a little on the pinkish side. Those mauve-type pearls can be classified as either pink or purple. While my tendency is to call them pink, many sellers don't have the same standard for what purple is, that I do. The purple pearls in the pictures were a little darker and more clearly purple so I was hoping they would be that same color/shade. The pearls I got are however that mauve shade that I would consider pink.Though I wasn't in love with the color, these are still fairly nice pearls. They have a very clean surface, with no blemishes visible to the naked eye. They have a good luster. If I were grading ion the Gemological Institute of America's (GIA) scale I'd say these are a solid AA. The pearls used for the earrings were well matched in color, shape, and quality. If I were basing this review only on the pearl quality vs the price, I'd give them 4 stars. However, there's also the settings.The rhinestone pieces seem sturdy enough, but the posts are extremely weak and bend at the slightest pressure. In addition to the weak posts, I question the metal used. My ears get itchy after wearing these for a few hours. I like them enough that I'll just paint the posts with clear nail polish to help keep them from irritating my ears.
