I am very happy with my fossil shark tooth purchase. I’ve always wanted a great white tooth necklace since a boy but did not want to get a modern day tooth in fear that it would come from a live shark and result in the death of a gentle giant. The fact that this is a descendant of the great white and from an even larger shark is awesome. 22-33 million years old is amazing to think that I’ve actually got a piece of history of these amazing animals. I already owned a similar tooth with a silver setting but necklace popped loose in the shower, fell and chipped off the tip of the tooth. I finally broken down and found and bought this item.I couldn't be happier. Its almost twice as large. my original was very dark. This tooth is a little lighter and the silver pendant is much larger to house the larger tooth.
