My mom likes big stuff on her clothes. She has always been a fan of epaulets, or big brooches, or big jewelry. Even big prints. She makes to make a show of it, you could say. So this pin that I got for her for Christmas is right up her alley. I thought they might have one in her birthstone, which is aquamarine, but this blue sapphire color dominant also has some small light blue stones, so I thought it would work. It is a little larger than I thought, but not like coffee saucer size. Small enough to be acceptable to church, but large enough that her friends (in their 80s) will notice it. The colors are nice, the stones are nice, and I'm so pleased it came early because I want to get lots of gift giving done before Thanksgiving, because that's when the stores go mad. I think she'll love it, and I do. Good design and lovely colors, and also avail in lots of different color combos. If it had been for me, I'd have gotten the pink, but you gotta think of others and their likes sometimes, like around Christmas. She'll also love that it's Austrian crystals, because she puts a lot of stock in that product. A+

You can never really believe product photos, especially for brooches, so I was skeptical as to how big this would actually be. But it is definitely big and pretty. But because of the size it IS a bit heavy, so I would only put this on a coat or jacket, but overall great quality for the price.
