I bought the white gold version of this guard. If you have a wide band, look elsewhere. They make a men's version that would probably work for wider bands. I first wasted my money on a set of ring noodles. Even though they were different sizes, none of them actually fit both my finger and the ring well. The one that fit the best ended up lost after it came off when I took off a pair of gloves at work. So, I splurged on this and I am glad I did.You really need a small pair of pliers. Rubber tipped ones would be even better. I used regular needle point ones and was able to get the thing on in about 15 seconds. If you are not careful, though, you will likely scratch the guard, the ring, or both.The reason I didn't give this thing 5 stars is because it slides around on the ring occasionally. It isn't a big deal, but it will need to be pushed back down to the bottom of the ring every now and again. I could probably manage to get it on there a little tighter, but once again, that goes back to the potential to cause damage. At any rate, it doesn't snag on things, even when I run my fingers through my hair.Overall, I would highly recommend this as an option - particularly if the ring is only slightly too large. If you have a ring that is much too large, I would get it resized, as this thing will likely not satisfy your need.
