I've purchased faux gauge earrings like these from several companies and these by far are the best. Very nice looking and great quality. I wear them all the time. These don't crack in half like a lot of the fake gauges do.

These are decent earrings for the price, but the images are misleading. If you are considering purchasing these earrings, make sure to watch the video and not just look at the images, because the video at least gives a better representation of what the earrings actually look like.The images that show close up views of the earring patterns are not actual photos, but digital renditions. They give two inaccurate impressions:1.) that the earring surface is flat2.) that the patterns are crisp and vibrant in colorThe reality is that the pattern is covered by a clear acrylic bubble that is rounded on top. The can create a glare that obscures the pattern at certain angles.The color is softer, almost faded, and the pattern itself is sort of blurry. It is like comparing a professionally printed photo on thick glossy photo paper, with that same photo printed on thin copier paper using an inkjet printer in your home.But I still gave them 4 stars, because at around $3 per pair, you get what you pay for, and they met my initial needs. They seem to be hypoallergenic and are not irritating my ears like some cheap earrings do. And the screw-on backing is nice and flat and feels comfortable enough to sleep in.

They screw in and stay on, the metal doesn't leave weird stains on your skin, and they look neat. I'll probably get more in different patterns if they have em.

My only issue with these earrings was I had difficulty putting them in the first time. The description says the posts are 18 gauge. I had my ears pierced 32 years ago at Claire's in the mall. I have worn earrings regularly ever since but always just regular earrings that I bought in stores. I don't know what gauge they were. These ones seem to have slightly thicker posts, and the threading is external. So I struggled for a bit and eventually it hurt a little to push them through. Once I had them in though, I have had no issues or discomfort. I can wear them day and night, without discomfort while sleeping and without snagging on anything, which was why I bought this kind. I find them pleasing in appearance and I don't think they look a whole lot like plugs (I didn't want them to look too big, and I don't think they do. I wasn't really going for the plugs look.) So, all in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase! It was worth the initial minor struggle to get them into my ears.
