For no apparent reason, the hollow-ended taper is a size larger than the others. The replacement set I got was the same, so I can only conclude this is a deliberate design decision. This makes no sense, and there's nothing in the pictures or description to indicate it. It'd be bad enough to try and cram a too-large taper through your body, but if you need to thread it through jewelry, it simply won't fit at all.

Luckily I really only needed the internally threaded taper to help me insert cartilage jewelry, but as some other people had experienced the externally threaded one was one size too large to be usable. I ordered a 16 gauge set and that one looked be a 14. Also be sure to double check the length/dimensions of these because they’re very small.. the pics show their actual size. I like that because I can easily throw them in a bag with my jewelry when I travel but would not be ideal for anyone with larger hands, mobility issues, hand pain, etc..

I had to remove my belly button piercing for surgery and took too long to put it back in causing my hole to nearly close. I bought this based on reviews and it did the trick. Took me 2 days of inserting with jojoba oil until it was all the way in. Painless process and didn’t have to pay for re-piercing.

I got these tapers to stretch out nipple piercings. They worked, but because of the short length it was a bit of a rough transition. Definitely pay attention to the length of the tapers. Besides that, they were high quality and I appreciate the variety in compatibility between different jewelry types. Good product.

These were a much smaller length than expected, but I feel as though it actually helped the intended purpose. I have 14 ear piercings, most of which are cartilage. This tool has helped immensely with putting jewelry back in after cleaning my piercings.

10/10 no regrets buying these and have already recommended them to a friend. I had my vch piercing fall out will at work (only had it for 2 months) and could not get the ring back in, even with a smaller gauge. I already had these and new jewelry on the way. I thought it had already closed up on one end, but this slide right through. Probably should not have done it myself, but was able to get a barbell back in (ouch) and don't need to have to re pierced! Save your self the struggle and just have these on hand. I plan to get the 16g set too!
