I bought a size 9; 2mm ring. The actual width was 1.6mm as measured on my digital tool. Maybe they sent the wrong size or round up their measurement? The more material issue: In less than 24 hours of wear, the inside (skin facing side) started to separate and the rough edge became irritating. Will spend more for a solid vs. tube ring...though the weight of this tube version is quite satisfying. Dropping off at UPS today for a refund.
