This pendant and necklace set has a good overall look. Not too big, not too small. It doesn't look "cheap" and could go well with many different outfits or looks. It comes in a nice presentation box also. A recommended buy.

Basics out of the way first: the pendant (back of the bail) and chain (connector near clasp) are both stamped 925, and the piece does not react to a magnet other than the actual clasp, which is normal because silver is not strong enough to hold up if used for the inner springs that keep the claw closed.This is very nicely made. In fact, I almost like the back better than the front - and the construction is clean enough that you could wear it that way, if you don't mind the 925 stamp on that side of the bail. the front is just as well crafted, even when inspected under magnification.What's pushing this from a solid 4 into 5 star range is the stone. It's a nice stone, don't get me wrong, but it's more about the description. I review a fair bit of jewelry, and there are a truly surprising number of sellers on this platform selling colored cz stones as "created [name of stone]," and then referring to them as cz elsewhere, or having vague references so if they're pinned down they can say they said it was cz, but it reads like they're calling it created {stone}. This is at very best misleading.I don't know if this is actual ruby - though if it is, I assume created rather than mined because of the price point. That isn't within my power to verify with the equipment at my disposal. The description is CLEAR, though. There is no question that the seller here is saying that this is a ruby, and there's no other sneaky language buried anywhere that would give them wiggle room. I don't have any reason to doubt that it's a ruby, mostly because of that clarity. I tend to have faith and give more credit to sellers who say it with their whole chest, because if they're lying, it's going to be REALLY clear - which means I tend to believe they're telling the truth. (Have I caught folks like this with stones that I do have the equipment to verify? Yes. Is it common? No - FAR less common than catching somebody who uses the wishy washy language meant to confuse matters and create loopholes.)So these folks are to some extent benefitting from the bad behavior of others, and I'm actually okay with that. Sellers who provide clear, unequivocal descriptions SHOULD get better reviews, because the consumer has a clear idea of what to expect, so they'll know it when they get it - or know for sure if they didn't.

In my younger years, I had 2 ectopic pregnancies and 2 surgeries and was never able to have children. I chose the gorgeous opal necklace to wear on Mother's Day each year for my 2 lost babies. It will replace the plain silver heart I've always worn. It was too soon to know if male or female, and since HCG level wildly fluctuated, I never had a well known due date. I chose the opal because it has the colors pink, blue, yellow, in it. I feel it better represents both of my babies.Yes- this is a wonderful gift for a fortunate mom. But if you know of a woman who has suffered the loss of a child, this pendant is a beautiful, perfect gift. Especially with ectopics, the babies often only seem real to the mother. She feels everything any other expectant mom feels, but it often is barely visible on the outside. It will mean more than you know for someone to acknowledge her love and loss.So yes, I highly recommend this pendant for all moms, but ask that you consider especially giving the opal one to moms of ectopic babies. 5 stars.

This necklace is really pretty and looks even better in person. The necklace is sterling silver and the opal is a lab opal unfortunately but still very, very beautiful. I gave it to my daughter and she has worn it several times so far.

This is really a beautiful necklace perfect for a mom to signify the bond between a mother/child or even a daughter signifying the love for her mother. What I really loved about the charm is that it is solid and not hollowed in the back as some charms are. Lays flat when worn. The chain is delicate. It arrived perfect for gift giving in an impressive box..I truly love the workmanship.
