So I adore this. I ordered this because I've always wanted a necklace to put my brothers ashes in and keep him near my heart...and I've not in 15 years been able to get one. This is so beautiful to me because it's the family tree, and I am carrying on his and my parents name and genetics etc. I'm breaking it into pros and cons for this one.Pros:-Very beautiful, elegant, and looks beautiful on. Family tree design, the crystals, the blue turquoise - it's an absolutely stunning ashes charm.-Has not opened/spilled, despite the con below re: weary about the top lid that screws on.-This comes with all the needed tools to funnel ashes into there and fully unscrew the lid.-It holds quite a bit.Cons:-It didn't want to open the screw lid for days and days until I realized (since there aren't instructions included) that the little pin screw with the funnel in the box is meant to help you open the screw lid.-It has no instructions or assistance on how to actually "best" fill the charm with ashes.-The chain is honestly a very plain, yet hypoallergenic, ball chain and feels so cheap for the price point.-The lid screws back on perfectly after being filled...however it doesn't align evenly so the charm is always floating to the opposite flip side, or leaning one direction and I hate that.-The charm itself and the loop for it isn't big enough to easily accommodate larger chains I have.So all in all. This deserves the 4 stars. I hate the chain, but it's a lot less ick in my mind once it is on. It's very pretty. It just worries me that the top might unscrew because it won't stay screwed facing 100% forward like a typical charm would stay facing...and i don't know if it's the difficulty I had getting the screw top off or what, but I can't figure out how to fix that without superglue or something. I really love it though and the Pros do outweigh the cons here! I just would likely find a less expensive alternative considering the charm is realllly what you're paying for here (that holds the ashes).

This is a very pretty oval tree of life locket with a grey background. It's quite nice and about what I expected for the price. The tree of life is nicely detailed and the materials are of a good quality. Very nice.
