Manufactured in the USA

This jewelry is adapted from a brooch made by the Castellani Jewelers. Their close contact with Etruscan jewelry resulted in their mastery of ancient techniques like granulation and twisted wirework.

Brooch, Castellani (Italian, 1814–1930)

In 1836, Jeweler Fortunato Castellani and his son Alessandro were in charge of restoring the gold adornments found in the Etruscan Regolini-Galassi tomb. The technique became a hallmark of the Castellani art. This circular lobed brooch adorned with thousands of tiny gold balls, is a notable example.
