The Castellani workshop in Naples was renowned for its replicas of ancient jewelry. This necklace (now displayed in the Walters Art Museum) is credited to Giacinto Melillo, a notable protégé of Alessandro Castellani. This original necklace was made of gold with carved gemstone cabochons.
