Feline-Headed Girdle, Middle Kingdom ca. 1887–1813 B.C.

Crafted from gold and amethyst, this set possesses potent magical qualities. The feline imagery, symbolizing protection and guardianship, adorned a princess during religious rites or ceremonial events. The girdle's feline heads held small pellets, producing tinkling as she moved gracefully.

I love these earrings as they are very unique and regal looking. They are high quality materials and chunky adding a touch of class to my otherwise boring outfit. The hook earring had a sort of divot on the end so that the likelihood of the earring falling out of my ear is a marginal slim chance. One caveat, these earrings are rather heavy in my ear but than again I got use to it was just surprising. Love this product line, Museum Reproduction, and I will purchase most likely from them again in the future - they packaged in a jewelry box with their product logo, very classy touch (not a plastic bag as other seller's will do). Greatly recommend this product and Museum Reproduction product line.
