This is a really cute little necklace on My teen daughter. It's pretty small, but that is good! I'd say it's the perfect size.My daughter is hitting that age where she's coming into her own. She walks tall and proud, embraces her height instead of slouching, and has taken an interest in a little makeup, a little jewelry, and some bath and Body works spray that makes her smell like a Yankee candle. It's fresh baked cookies or something.... anyway, she expressed interest in perhaps a necklace to wear with her homecoming dress, and possibly an ankle bracelet. She described what she was looking for, and drew me a picture... When I saw this necklace, it was pretty close, so I snagged it for her. I didn't really care for the design at first, but she's the one who will wear it.My opinion of it changed when I saw it in person, and got to hold it....The rings are each close in size to a Froot Loop cereal ring, so it's not a gaudy piece..... It's really quite tasteful, dare I say almost classic in appearance. It works for everyday adornment, or paired with a Homecoming dance dress, which is what It was ordered to pair with. It's not too "cutesey", so it was a good first "grown up" necklace.I think I did a good job, as she loves it!Like most inexpensive jewelry we have ordered from Amazon, a quick cleaning in our little cheap ultrasonic jewelry cleaner made a night and day difference in the shine factor. It's probably due to some sort of anti-tarnish film being applied to it to keep it from getting any discoloration in shipping or something. maybe it's just from being handled, I dunno...Either way, give it a pass through the jewelry cleaner, or if you do not have one, a toothbrush, and toothpaste will shine it up beautifully! Just make sure you rinse it all off, or it'll dry and look chalky..That's how I clean My Invicta watches, and even My Rolex Submariner which was handed down to me. It's a vintage watch, and I used to take it to be cleaned frequently, and the guy told me to "brush it's teeth" and I'd be able to clean it as often as I wanted. He was right!When you sweat, or mow the lawn, or anything else that gets dirt into the band, or sweat, or barbecue sauce, or motor oil, or whatever, "brushing It's teeth" is completely safe, and makes jewelry look like it just came from the showroom!The little zirconium jewels definitely look more vibrant now that it's been cleaned.I'm very happy with the quality, and appearance.I'm not really a jewelry guy. I can appreciate the way it looks on a woman, but I don't really have "the eye" to pick a piece to gift to My wife, or daughter normally. She said I "nailed it" with this necklace. It was almost exactly what she said she described when she told me what she wanted.It's much appreciated when the seller's description accurately matches the product you receive. Thanks!
