I tried probably two dozen watches recently trying to find one that was truly readable in total darkness I work overnight armed security this watch is a good quality watch but there was a white piece of paper when I first took it out of the box it says to Glow it must absorb light. I finally ended up trying a watch for twice the price I figured if the brand name is luminex it's got the glow in the dark right, like I say the aluminum X was traced the price but it doesn't need to absorb light you can totally read the time in total darkness but I would recommend this watch if being able to read it in dark is not that important

watch is beautiful but the digital area needs to have a magnifying glass to read. had this watch been in the 50mm range, it would be perfect
