The media could not be loaded. I picked the camo band version for my 7 yr old grandson.The fit is good, and for my grandson the band was buckled close to the watch face as his wrist is on the small size. It leaves a lot of room for growth and/or older age group.It has a nicely organized watch face that has the essential info like time of day, date, day on the main display. Nothing too crazy. There's also a stop watch, alarm modes. It says it's water resistant to 50m, so I wouldn't suggest jumping into the pool with it.The watch is packaged in a giftable box - but Houston we have a problem. The box says "WATCH" on the cover box. No surprise needed here I guess.So now to the Squirrely thing I mentioned in the title. As you can see in the video, when the EL light was first tried it went on a disco frenzy. The watch went through all the colors in strobo-tecno hell. So it did finally settle down, and now works showing a solid color at a push of a button. In all fairness, perhaps it was operator error?Despite the unintended light show and "WATCH" prominently on the gift box, this seems like it will make a great gift. I'm guessing primarily for the 6 to 10ish age group? But that's just my opinion. And why the swimmer icon in the watch band? It may bring people to believe you can swim in the pool with this, and nope, you can't.Even without the light effects, I believe this will make a great beginner watch for your child. There are plenty of optional colors to choose from, and at this price point it's sure to bring a smile to your favorite little one.

Good looking for the kiddos. The analog clock feature teaches them how to tell time the old fashioned way. However, no amount of funding with the settings, with or without the sketchy user guide, succeeded in setting the digital time features. I youtubed it too, and the videos were in Chinese. Next time I'll get Casios or Swatches!
