I like earrings that hang but not to large, these are really pretty and are a great length. The amethyst is a really pretty color, and with the silver looks really nice. They are light and comfortable to wear. The back part is easy to open and close, hopefully holds up. I really like these earrings and they came in a nice box, flip up lid, and has something to put the earrings onto to keep them in place. If giving as a gift open it first and take them out of the little plastic bags and place them in the box properly. They are very giftable and woman would love them, I do.UpdateI have worn these for over a week and have had several compliments on them, people are surprised when I say amazon and then I show them the ad. I wear my hair in a ponytail for work and several patients have commented on them all positive. A few have said they plan on getting them too.

These amethyst earrings are really nicely made and the lever-backs really help to prevent a lost earring. The earrings are set with deep purple amethyst and they really come alive and sparkle in the sunlight. They are comfortable to wear and look stunning on my wife.
