The CAROVO LOCK-17CM-GOLD Bracelet is very lightweight. The weight is good for those who prefer not to or physically unable to wear heavier jewelry. The bracelet however is not "dainty" or tiny in appearace as the description mentions. I say the rectangular shaped links in the chain bracelet are more medium in size than tiny. The bracelet has a more modern than traditional look to it and is more for casual and every day wear than formal wear. A little less coating on the bracelet would help it feel and look a little less plastic like. Less coating would let the metal be seen more and probably let it be worn with more formal wear too.The clasp on the bracelet is a lobster claw clasp. Now lobster claw clasps have two main parts to make it work, the lobster claw clasp on one end of the bracelet and then jump ring or a metal tag with a hole on the other end of the chain. When putting on the bracelet, you pull the lever on the back of the lobster claw down and it opens the claw. Then you take the jump ring or hole in the tag and drop it over the bottom part of the claw and then let go of the lever and the clasp closes and secures the clasp. This bracelet does not have a jump ring or tag with a hole it, so how to work the clasp? Well, this bracelet allows you to do it third way, that sometimes work and sometimes doesn't, it has the wearer to use a link on the extension chain as the jump ring. Now on this bracelet it works because the links that make up the extentsion chain are the right size to do that. Each link in the chain has a big enough hole to put over the bottom part the claw but each link isn't too thick, that it doesn't allow the clasp to close. Now if the wearer finds trying to put a link of the chain in the lobster claw, a jump ring slightly bigger than the link in the chain can be added to the end of the chain.
