As far as the brooch goes, its difficult to see on camera but the surface of the stone had a bunch of little nicks and scratches, seeing through the stone you can tell the surface of the metal its glued to wasn't finished and scratches are very clearly visible, this makes it unattractive to look at. The stone is also clear and seems to have a transparent coating over top to give it color, this coating shows through on the edges were you an see the original clear stone. The pin that was included lacked detail but seemed well made for the price, still the brooch was the main reason of purchase as I bought this as a gift for a friend but the quality of the item is certainly not suited to be given as a gift. Defiantly an item that will be returned.
