This trio of earrings came inside a little blue, artificial leather pouch. They are pretty, but very, very small hoops. Two of the 3 pairs are nice, but the smallest hoops are plain and boring. For all 3 pair, the hoop itself opens via a hinge that is nearly invisible at the base of the hoop itself, so there is no post or separate back to hold the earrings in place. The hoop basically closes behind the ear, snapping into place when the short curved post section is fitted into the back of the hoop.The split hoop pair (which I'm holding in the photo) is my favorite. The 2 pairs with flat edges are well-crafted for appearance, and look like high quality jewelry. The smallest pair with rounded edges does not look as nice - not as shiny or bright - as the other 2 pair.The design flaw (which brings these earrings down from a 4 or 5-star rating) is that they do not open wide enough to get the very short post section inserted into my ear. As you can see in my photo, the one earring is open as far as it can go, leaving a mere 3 mm to navigate the earlobe at a very awkward angle. I absolutely could not put these earrings on without a mirror, and even with a mirror it was so frustratingly difficult that I have to give these earrings only 3 stars. If they were easier to don, I would surely give them a higher rating, because they are very, very pretty.
