Heavy metal; good quality. I got the 18" chain I had to get a 36" separately bc when it came I realized it wouldn't fit my BF right with the shorter chain. Got this for him for valentines day early. He loves it. I do recommend getting a longer chain yeah it costs a bit more to select it but it's worth it I payed more getting a chain separately.
