I bought this necklace to honor my sweet doxie of 17 years who passed away in February. I was super excited to receive it, and the necklace arrived super fast! I ordered it on May 2nd and it arrived on May 5th, which was unexpected and very nice.I want to make others aware that it's much larger than you might expect. The necklace looks as expected, except the pendant is much larger than I realized it would be, and is even bigger than advertised. In the description it is listed as 25x42mm, which is about 1x1.65in. That is on me for not reading the product description more closely to notice the size. That already seems large now that I did the conversion, but I measured what I received and it was actually 1x2 inches, which is just way too big for me. I've owned quite a few dachshund silhouette necklaces in my day, and the size of this one dwarfs every one of them. For me, the large size is a deal breaker, as it makes the necklace look juvenile, in my opinion.Another problem is the chain opening on the pendant. It is tiny, and would not be able to accommodate a chain change. In fact, the only way to remove the current chain would be to break it. This is a major design flaw. Chains easily break and usually you can replace them. Who wants a necklace where you can't replace the chain? Not me!But I will say, barring the large size, it does look very nice. I just wish it was smaller. The size is such a problem for me that I know I won't wear it, so I will be giving it away to one of my young nieces, who I know will enjoy it.I am giving it two stars mainly because of the problem with chain replacement. It basically makes the necklace disposable. If you don't mind the chain and size issues, then I encourage you not to be afraid to order this product, because it is really cute. I hope others find the information in this review helpful.
