I wore this broach for St. Patty’s but it really can be worn anytime. The detail and stone are exceptional for the price. It’s pretty heavy so I would recommend wearing traditionally or on a jacket or blazer or anything with sturdy fiber.

This is my first kilt broach, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I love how it looks and it seems to be well made.I was sewing a couple fashion kilts that required buckles, but when I saw this broach, I thought it would make the skirts unique. I think it adds a nice touch! It’s also sturdily constructed, so I can see it holding up to use for years.The details on the metal work are very pretty and I love how black the stone is.It comes in a nice box, so it could be used as a gift if you wanted to.The one downside to being so sturdy is that it is heavy, so take that into account if you plan on ordering it.

The description for this pin said it was suitable as a brooch, but after receiving it and feeling the weight we think that is is better suited for the Scottish applications. However, this could work as a brooch on something like a wool coat or heavy scarf. The pin is an attractive pewter finish with a purple stone that is not shiny or polished, more of a matte appearance. The pin-in-hook clasp is sturdy and secures the accessory well. Overall this is a nice looking piece of jewelry that, while it was different from what we thought it would be, still has a number of ways it can be worn and enjoyed.

Large bright green gem silver finish Celtic Kilt pin. The gem is large and a little bit overly bright (makes it look at little fake) Though as a theatre person - it is also very dramatic! It would be fantastic as a stage costume because of the large scale it would really read from the audience. The quality is nice and the value is great. In retrospect I might have chosen a deeper shade for the color but it is really lovely.

I ordered this kilt pin in the antique silver finish, with a "bottle green" stone, which is a deep emerald green color. The combination is classic and really attractive! The kilt pin comes in a velvet-lined box for storage and would surely make a lovely gift for any kilt enthusiast. The closure is a standard kilt pin closure, with the pin just tucked behind the prong. Although this pin is marketed as a kilt pin, it would also be suitable for a variety of historic costuming uses, history-bounding, or just wearing as a fun fashion accessory. This Celtic pin would work well as a clasp on a cloak or shawl, but it might be a bit on the large side to wear as a brooch with modern clothing (unless you want it to make a statement, which would also be fine).

Looks great! Just as nice and sturdy as the others I've gotten. The color of this stone is definitely more of a dark orange than a true brown, but I was hoping for that based off the pictures!
