St. Christopher, also known as Offerus, is a mythical symbolic representation of that special thing that carries the Christ impulse when it is a child. Esoterically this is Mercury, meaning the embodied Spirit of Creation Who animates us all. Thus this flying Spirit becomes the patron and protector of travelers...and who of us is not a traveler passing through this world?I like the design very much for its radiant imagery and the cross design shows strength, so a good version for men to wear.I found the chain delicate with awkward clasp for my larger fingers, and too short to go over the head. Simple fix as I ordered a longer somewhat heavier chain.
