I am going to enjoy this book very much. Step by step directions with all the pictures needed to guide you. There is one project I will not be doing but really like, it entails a soldering station, whole new line for me, will keep with the stuff I am learning. The guitar pick pendant is going to be fun and easy to do. It is versatile and used unisex for any shape, but this is a great one for the guys especially if you have a teen to please. There is an idea given on how to make 3 chains into one (wide) one, another good one for guys. I like the fact this book does have many things that will work well for guys and teens, most jewelry books lean toward the ladies and teen girls, imagination & tweaking takes care of the little ones. I would recommend this book, I believe also that a beginner would be able to work this book. Buy it and start having fun.

This book really blew me away. I wasn't expecting it to be as great as it is. I plan on picking up a few more books from this author. The photos are great and there are enough how to's to keep me quite busy. Awesome by.

My husband and I find chain mail soothing, even though we're beginners. There were several projects in the book that we cannot wait to try. The directions are clear, with lots of pictures. It's a great book with some alternatives for the beginner to get their feet wet. The projects are fresh and fun, and not the same old stuff you see everywhere on the net. In particular, I'm very, very excited about the crystal and chain mail project front and center on the cover. I'm not sure if I can mention another book in this review, but we feel that if you could only buy one chain mail book and you're just starting out, check out Rebecca Mojica's latest book "Chained" - it's a little more well-rounded and thorough. I will say, however, that for the money, "Creative Chain Mail" is a great book with several great projects for the beginner and almost-beginner.

I have other books on chain maille but by far the instructions in this book are far more clearer because of the illstrutions being donein contrasting color I highly recommend this book for beginners

I say chain mail made easy to learn with out taking a class. I'm not big on reading instruction and getting, but I found this book real easy to follow. Looking foreword to teaching what I've learner.

I am a beginner for making jewelry. I am enjoying making chain mail through this book. However, I expected that there are many interesting projects going on, but I only found five of 29 projects. Through my experience making chain mail, I prefer to combine with beading to chain mail, which is more beautiful and looks jewelry. One thing what I would tell you that some projects don't look beautiful by only using jump ring...it doesn't look jewelry but just chain...that is my opinion
