The media could not be loaded.  After Mother’s Day passed recently my 7yo daughter asked me when Kid’s Day is. Turns out there is a Daughter’s Day Sept 25! So I decided that I would do something special this year and this necklace spoke to me.I’ll give her the smaller one while I’ll keep the moon. I like the pave on the tiny sun though and sort of wish the moon had a few pave spread out over the surface but I guess this was more versatile in case it’s divided with a male without pave sparkle…I’ve never had a Moon-shaped necklace before and I’m sentimental about the saying my father always says to me “Love you to the moon and back”.I also think my daughter will really appreciate the reflection feature and have fun with her flashlight. As you can see from the video and photos, a magnet pulls the pieces together so the gold soldering around the magnet sort of forms a heart. Without knowing it’s a heart this part sort of looks like a flaw but it’s a sort of casual piece of jewelry so I don’t mind.The color of the stone is a really pretty light blue and a reflective cabuchon that’s pretty when the light shines through.It’s awhile before Sept and I can’t wait to give it to her but I’ll keep it in a special place until then. I hope it makes her feel really special.I’m a single mom with sole custody and she’s my only child so it’s very symbolic I think that we stick together, work as a team etc. we are very close and I hope that this necklace is a reminder of that bond as she gets older.

So at the moment my only dislike is the packing. It was teeny tiny in a mini baggie along with other items I ordered. It almost got thrown out with the packaging. If I hadn’t checked my delivery page from Amazon I would not have realized it was in the box. Crisis averted. Now for the jewelry.I have 2 children age 10 and are my son and my moon. Instead of a bff or a mother daughter piece I ordered this for my sun and moon, and when the two pieces gone together they form a golden heart in the center to remind them that they are my whole heart. The fact that it says I love you in 100 different languages is the icing on the cake.It comes with two silver chains. Those are very lightweight and knowing my kids I need to replace it with something sturdier. The moon came with a longer chain that was slightly heavier and the sun came with a finer chain that was shorter. I added a black chain I had on another piece of jewelry for the sun. I will likely replace this with a black cording. It is likely I do that for my daughter as well but maybe a neutral shade for her. My only change would be is I wish the bales were just slightly larger to accommodate for changing the chain. But that is minor and not necessary if you plan on using those chains. Overall I think this would make a beautiful gift, just plan ahead and get a box for it to make it giftable because the bag itself is only big enough to hold 3 maybe 4 vitamins.

This set is really cute. Makes a great gift for best friends, sisters, mother/daughter, etc. I have really sensitive skin, and wore it for a bit myself. I didn't experience any weird reactions. Will see how well the finish on the metal holds up in the long term. So far, so good, though.
