Gemstone enthusiasts love Alexandrites for their color-changing properties. Its color can change from shades of Greenish-blue in Cool or Daylight, to Reddish-purple in Warm or Incandescent light.
However, natural Alexandrite is very rare so synthetic lab-grown Alexandrites are created. Although being created in a lab, they grow from the same chemical ingredients under the same conditions as natural gems, only at an accelerated rate. Hence, Lab Created Alexandrites are Real Alexandrites and have the same unique color-changing effect just as earth-mined Alexandrites.
