Stauer Men’s Stainless Steel Co-Pilot Watch

This is a great looking pilot’s watch! As a private pilot I own several watches with circular slide rule bezels including Breitling, Heuer, Citizen and Stauer, and this one is the easiest to read of all of them. Some of the others do not even have the hours scale as this one does. It is probably the least expensive of them all as well. The only complaint I have so far is the bezel is very tight and requires a good bit of effort to turn it. Even the 2 other Stauer watches I own are relatively easy to turn in comparison. However, it’s a cool watch nevertheless.

Application and use is as advertised

So far this watch has been great and reliable. I have hit my wrist on things and the glass did not break. Also I am in very humid climates and no moisture builds up under the glass as this has been a problem with other watches. The clock face is great and the chronograph works smooth. I would truly buy another one for myself or others. The only down side is the band, it feels like a synthetic leather in which the top surface peels off. Not a big deal because it is easy to replace.

Great watch, beautiful but the strap is crap. Reviews are right this breaks down and falls apart way too easily. Hopefully their customer support will replace this for me

This is cleverly marketed as an automatic movement even though it is a quartz battery operated Japanese movement

The main reason I bought this watch is it's amazingly geeky good looks. What I received was better than I expected. It comes in a nice box with the watch mounted on a small pillow -- ok, who cares, right? But it's a nice touch. The stainless steel case, bezel, and crown are very nice for a watch at this price range. The screw-on back (not press-on) also is a sign of quality. It claims a Japanese movement and water resistant to 3ATM, also nicer than expected. The band is very nice quality "distressed" leather. The numbering and marking on the watch face are precise and clear. The two smaller dials, one marking a 24 hour period, the other marking 60 minutes, both work as expected. The case is thicker than I expected, but not annoyingly so. And if you want to get super geeky, you can learn to use the rotating number ring to do mathematical computations. The only question now is, will it last? Only time will tell. But initial impression is a good value for a really unusual time piece.3/30/2019 The crystal completely shattered today! After a little over a month of normal, careful use, I just looked at the watch and found the crystal completely shattered! It must have happened while I was wearing it, but I sure didn't do anything that would have caused that. Now to see if customer service does anything about it.
