Meet expectations... my wife loved them. They are big and sturdy and looked cool. I told her they were a gift from the members of Time Team. She did say she wouldn't use them on finely knit fabrics, as the pins are quite substantial. Great for scarves, cause no piercing is necessary.

Not very sturdy. Could not poke through a cloak, and wouldn't want to considering its to thick and or even sharp enough. It i had it would leave a giant hole and ruin my cloak. Would not recommend for cloaks at all.
