This take from BERNY is a beautiful homage to the MONDAINE swiss made railroad watch.The 8215 movement is bidirectional(meaning the rotor can power the mainspring in both directions). This movement is a reliable workhorse and used in many quality watches. The movement is also hackable(stopping the second hand)... always happy to see that! The crown felt very solid throughout all functions and the movement was very quiet when winding or simply running. It's made with stainless steel(both case and case back) and sapphire crystal front and back! Good luminosity... just didn't last long. The band is beautiful, well made and also stainless steel... I  do like the locking mechanism on this band. Never worried about the band unlocking... very reliable. I ran the watch for 24 hours and lost ONLY 9 seconds. A solid 40 hours passed before the watch finally stopped running.  I found that to be exceptional. Based on performance and finish, this watch is a sound purchase at this price. I would buy it again!!!

I've wanted a mechanical / self winding watch for a while. I have somewhat narrow wrists and most of the self-winding watches out there were just too wide to be comfortable. This case is a 40 or 42 mm (the description should say) so it fits much better. The case is thicker than a quartz equivalent. The band is very nice looking but super sturdy, it's become my EDC watch. The large face with the bright red second hand is great if you need to time something or need to take a pulse (I know nowadays we all use Pulse Ox's but they aren't always around). The spring stays wound for over 12 hours in my experience so you don't have to wear it constantly. I'm very happy with this watch!Update: About 7 months after purchase, the second hand came off. I contacted BERNY through their website to see if I could send it in for repairs. I got a quick response from Customer Service, instructing me to take it to a watch repair shop. I figured that I'd never hear from the company again and thought that I was getting a brush-off. I really liked the watch so figured I'd eat the cost of repair as long as it was less than the cost of the watch itself. Imagine my surprise when I got a follow up email from BERNY customer service asking whether I'd taken the watch in and offering to cover the cost of the repair! Once it was fixed I sent the Customer service representative my receipt and in less than 24 hours I had a merchant refund coming through Amazon! So BERNY is my new favorite watch brand.

Purchased in April 2023 this model and another BERNY POS watch at the same time and both have stopped working.. CHINESE CRAP! Save your money! Let's see if this gets published!

I ordered this as I just kill battery operated watches. I wanted something durable and inexpensive as I love timepieces but have a hard time parting with $500+.I was IMPRESSED when I opened the box. The metal feels thick and durable, not plasticy and lightweight like some Ingersols I have had in the past (THAT company was a bit of a let down).The mineral glass never scratches and the time mechanism does well keeping pace even if left off for awhile; again, Ingersol, I'm looking at you.These watches look great, feel great, and have the auto movement from Seiko. I'm VERY pleased! I will buy more.

Finished was better than I expected fir the price I paid. The obvious similarity to a certain Swiss railroad watch is undeniable. I haven’t worn it enough to know how well it keeps time.
