Ordered this on a whim. I had been curious about these tonneau mega sport watches that emulate a certain million dollar designer Swiss brand. This is definitely not a copy but a loose homage, with rectangular shape and curved crystal and layered dial. Of course this is quartz vs automatic, so the layers aren't skeletonized mechanicals. That being said this chronograph does have cool look and functionality; it's a 60 minute split second Chrono. The 10th second top dial spins for the first minute, but then stops and only moves to the split when you stop the Chrono. Then when you press reset (bottom) the seconds counter at the bottom rotates backward as the third minute counter also rotates back to the start. Not sure I've seen one like that before, so it's cool. I will say that it's nearly impossible to read the minutes, since the dial and the markings on it are tiny, and it's also partially obscured by the lattice work that is layed over it. However that's kind of not the point, as you'd simply get a casio if you wanted an easy to read Chrono. You get this because you like that complicated and cool design, be darned if you can't read it (literally had to put on reading glasses too!) Still for the price I think it's fun and cool and makes a great beater especially in the black model. Pretty comfortable on wrist too with me on the 3rd hole with 7" wrist. It is big at 45mm case and 49mm lug to lug. Weighs only 105 gms on silicone strap. Only 30m wr.

This Boruse wrist watch is an interesting, simple design, yet very stylish and almost luxury looking. I got this one to give to my son who wanted something that looks like a classic watch, at the same time sporty, and adult looking. There are some good positive points to be mentioned about this watch and some negatives to be discussed, but before that, a quick few words about the packing and presentation. The watch comes in a small box with the company name on it, inside there is the watch, and a user manual in English.Positives:- Inexpensive, yet stylish and solid looking - The Boruse watch looks good, it is stainless steel and it feels solid. From the face to the wrist strap and the buckle latch the watch feels much more expensive than what it costs, truly surprising.- Day and date option in the watch face, which is always welcome to see.- Five different color options are available to choose from, I went with the silver and blue face one.- Luminous numbers and hands definitely make it visible at night.- Quartz movement, high hardness glass mirror and waterproof 30 are some of the other features that are worth mentioning as well, and of course there are two different versions to choose from, with red wrist strap and black wrist strap.- Scratch resistant mineral glass face.Negatives:- Longevity concerns, hopefully the watch lasts longer, but not knowing anything about the company you would always question how long it will last before failing.- Silicone straps are cool and look sporty, but eventually you would have to replace them as they age faster than normal metal ones.Overall, not a bad watch, especially for the asking price under $50.

This sport military watch from BORUSE appears to be quite solid in construction and material. It's definitely heavier than the average economically priced watch. The face is somewhere between round and square, so it's unlike anything I already had in my (modest) collection. The faux gears under the webbed glass are definitely an eye-grabber. And I love the band. From a functionality standpoint, there are a couple of things that some might consider minor design flaws. Firstly, the "chrono minute" dial is obstructed by the webbing under the glass, rendering it pretty useless. I don't know anyone that actually uses this feature of a watch anymore, so unless you're the exception, this should not present a problem. Secondly, there's a lot of chrome on the face (I got the black one). The hands are chrome as well, which makes it a little tricky to read the time at a glance. There's a lot going on, which I understand is the point of the design, but only the black option presents this problem with the excess chrome. The gold and red versions of the watch have better color schemes for quickly reading the time.Overall, I'm happy with the watch, and am going to give it five stars despite these minor design issues, since the seller is not hiding anything in the listing, and it's a very unique piece!

This is a "fashion-forward" watch, but--at least for me--the "fashion" aspect hampers the functionality. The decorations on and immediately under the crystal can make telling the time at a glance difficult because the minute hand is not entirely visible below about the 2 and 10 on the face until it's almost to or slightly past where the 6 would be. Even the hour hand is partially obscured at times. However, since the user likely would know the approximate time of day before looking at the watch, it is possible to know at a glance within a few minutes what the time is. What I mean by that is, for example, that if one hand is pointing to about where the 3 would be if it were printed on the face, and the other hand pointing to about where the 9 would be, the user will probably know whether it's indicating 9:15 or 2:45.The stopwatch function (probably not very important anyway) is not very useful because the 1/10-second and 1-second dials are small and also sometimes obscured by the hands. Also, the baubles printed on the face under the crystal strike me as a merely a bagatelle--especially because they are non-functional. Overall, the design strikes me as being a bit ostentatious. The picture I posted shows the band on the back of my wrist. I have relatively thin wrists for a man, and the band seems to me that it would not be long enough for someone with thick wrists. The price does seem reasonable for those to whom this particular style will appeal.
