These are along the lines of costume jewelry, they are cute but beware of the metal type which is zinc alloy. Please use clear nail polish on the fish hook earrings or posts 1-2 coats and let dry before wearing if they cause you any pain. Or you can remove the fishhook earrings and replace them with stainless steel, sterling silver, or gold-plated sterling silver fish hooks with a pair of jewelry pliers if you want to be able to wear these but know you have sensitive ears. I am unsure if you can replace posts since I do not have a pair of stud post earrings in this lot. I hope this is helpful. I ordered the STAR B earrings which are very pretty and can be worn year-round with proper care. The rest are all seasonal so good for wearing between November December and January maybe snowflake style in February too. Really depends on how long you like to wear holiday or wintery-themed items. These may make a fun little gift for Christmas, but make sure the receiver is not allergic to zinc, or you can change out the hooks with better ones before you give them away. That's what I do.Do not wear them in the shower, do not wear them swimming, and do not apply products that will cause corrosion- applying perfume, body spray, lotion, hair spray, insect spray, or other chemicals with the earrings out, let the product dry down then you can put the earrings back in. Wipe with a soft cloth damp or dry. Only wash on an as-needed basis with mild soap and water with a soft toothbrush, rinse then dry right away with a soft cloth to avoid any corrosion.
