This necklace is a great piece for cosplay, casual costuming, or as a collector's piece for this particular aesthetic. It arrived quickly and well packaged, with no damage. There has not been any tarnishing, smells, or color rubbing off on clothing. It is of a medium weight - light enough to wear comfortably, but does not feel like plastic. It is definitely not too heavy. There has been no green on the skin of the neck as can happen with many costume jewelry pieces. We have not put it in water, as there has been no need, nor do we have any plans to. At the current price point, it is a good deal for those looking for an item similar to this.

This is a decently made piece of jewelry that hangs nicely. The chain and pendant were a little shorter and slightly smaller than expected, but not outrageously so. I was a bit disappointed with the pendant because the black contrast was not nearly as heavy as the advertisement suggests. The overall product felt, off, like it was leftover from a decades-old stash found at the bottom of a shipping crate, or even a different item altogether. But once you hit it with some black permanent marker in the indented areas, it adds enough contrast to make it look a little closer to their advertised pictures, though you can still tell that they likely photoshopped their product pictures. I'm not exactly happy with the necklace and pendant because I feel it is yet another deceptive product, but at least you can do something to make it look a bit better. The execution of the pendant may seem off, but the foundation/the materials themselves are as expected. It is an okay value for what you get once you add some contrast. Luckily the recipient liked it, which was its saving grace.

As a cat lover, I couldn’t pass this necklace up. Seriously, I just can’t get over how much I love this item. Both the chain and the Bastet pendant are a lovely, shining golden color and I haven’t had any problems with tarnishing or discoloration of the jewelry or my skin. The pendant is beautifully made, with precise and delicate details. The chain is thick, of a good length, and has a comfortable weight to it. For how inexpensive this necklace is, the value for money is astounding. I love it so, so much. It would make a fantastic gift to cat lovers, Bastet worshippers, and anyone who can appreciate a nice piece of jewelry. Absolutely recommend!

The craftsmanship of the pendant is good. But as you can see from the second picture, the gold is dull looking and not richly plated like it is in the amazon picture. From far away it looks a little more yellow, but still, overall pretty disappointing. The chain is also very cheap feeling and as you can see from the fourth picture, it has that frail kind of closing clasp that is easily broken. Expect to pretty quickly not be using this chain and if you're putting the pendant on another chain and don't mind that the luster is on the duller side, you will still like this. Otherwise i'd say pass. I wanted to like this and love Eye of Ra jewelry. But this looks as cheap as its price, which I guess is ok. Thats why the rating is "ok"
