This is an attractive slate blue plant-shaped ceramic glaze, textured trinket tray, giftable, sturdy, value per $.I am putting my rings and earrings in the dish to keep them from falling to the floor or being arbitrarily placed where they aren't seen. This lovely item looks like a plant, and you can easily slide out your items because of the shape and smooth glaze. It is sturdy but will chip. Be careful, yes, but will it break very easily? No. This bluish, plant-like appearance reminds me of sea life.I recommend submerging and gently rinsing, but no dishwasher or scribbling. The finish is gorgeous. It reminds me of old-fashioned glaze.Great value for a lovely piece you might have for years.Enjoy!Depending on the circumstances, you can gift this item, and I would go further to add something else to the gift bag as well.

This little dish is so pretty! I currently have it on my nightstand to hold lip balms that I use at night, but you can use it for lots of other small things like jewelry, contact case, paperclips, etc. The ceramic feels thick and sturdy, with a smooth glaze. There are little spots on mine but it's from the glaze and not because there is anything wrong, it looks handmade. It comes packaged in bubble wrap and a nice box so would make a nice small gift for anyone.
