The box itself is well made, but the painted top design finish is poorly executed. The 'brass inlay' paint is chipped off in places, so it looks rather shabby. It's a gift for a friend, so I'll either need to go over it and make it look decent, or buy my friend something else. The wood sides are stiff to slide, but I expect they'll get better with use. I would not buy it again.
