My family hails from the Emerald Isle, so I’ve always had a fascination for Celtic jewelry. This cross seemed like a lovely fusion of hearts, a shamrock and Celtic knots, so I thought I’d give it a go.The cross is pretty, with its raised design in sterling silver and a charcoal background. The tiny green rhinestone adds just a touch of color.The pendant was not as well made as it should be. The surface on the back is wobbled, like maybe the casting was done too quickly? I think a darker color in the grounding would be nicer for contrast. The finish in the background is striated, too, and I think that a pebbled finish like what was shown in the pictures on the product page would be better.The chain is well made and attractive, but it is much too slender for the heavier look of the cross. I will probably replace it with something more substantial. It is nice that there is a claw clasp and linked chain attached, so you can adjust it to the length you prefer.Overall, this necklace is nice, but not of a good enough quality that I would want to pay $35 for it. When I wrote this review, the product was reduced by 10%, but I think this is more of a $20 item.
