My 12 year old son wanted a pocket watch - and he is a bit of a steam punk fan. I have to say I was a little skeptical at the price - but he wanted to order with his money so we did.This is a great watch, it looks cool, works great and has a bit of steam punk feel - the transparent view to the mechanisms make it educational as well.Our only issue was solved quickly - when my son said it was't keeping time well. He thought we may have to change the battery. Ha, it was great to see the look on his face when he realized it didn't need batteries. It lead to an interesting discussion and realization about how we don't really deal with anything which doesn't use batteries.This is a great gift for a young person - if for nothing more than to learn that not everything is electronic. :)

I don’t usually fancy an open faced watch, but this is great. My eye aren’t that great anymore so with the dial a white color, I can read it well. I have a few Carrie Hughes pocket watches and all have been exceptional.

WARNING! I could go on forever about this watch. But, I will try not to. It looks even better than pictured, and there is no fault in it. I bought it on a gamble, which paid off. The watch works perfectly well. It makes a faint ticking sound, discernible when held to your ear. The gears are the perfect gold. All in all this is very much worth the money.

Love that you can see the movement at work, keeps good time as long as you wind it once a day, which is something I need to get back in the habit of doing after around forty years of not having a none-quartz watch. Love the look as well, very attractive piece.I have it sitting in the fifth pocket of my jeans as I type this.

This is great little watch which arrived on time and as described. I do not like to wear wrist watches and I only need it when I can not use my phone, so most of the time it remains in my pocket. It keeps time just fine and I will see how long the batter lasts, if it is like most watches I should get a year or more. Also the other thing that I would recommend is if you have screen protectors from an old phone, I would cut one out to fit on the face of the watch to keep the glass from scratching.

It arrived early and when fully wound will tick for forty-eight hours. It keeps accurate time, looks just like the picture, and has a durable chain. It's small, convenient, and well worth the $$$.
