The product will be used for energy work and I thought the quality was very good for the price. A very very deep blue. Glad I am this piece. I’ve been collecting crystals now for 20 years.

about item
- The color of a blue sapphire is more important than its clarity. Sapphires are rarely completely clean and even very expensive stones can be slightly included. Subtle differences in color can make great variations in valuations of fine gemstones. Fine loose gemstones of good color and clarity are always rare and valuable. Highly saturated medium or medium dark blue tones are best, blue sapphires which are too dark or too light are worth considerably less.
- Color zoning is responsible for certain Sapphires having lighter and darker colors in different parts of a crystal. Some Sapphire gemstones may even be multicolored such as purple and blue. Sapphire is a tough and durable gem, and the only natural gemstone harder than Sapphire is Diamond. Despite this, Sapphire is still subject to chipping and fracture if handled roughly, and care should be taken to ensure it is properly handled.
- Display a lighter and more intense color when viewed at different angles. Some pleochroic Sapphire is blue when viewed at one angle, and purple at a different angle. Color zoning, which forms from growth layers that build up during the formation of the stone, may also be present in certain Sapphires.
- Our Expert gemologists verified this Blue Sapphire which passed many quality base tests and get stone certified through which we are completely assured of Top Quality Gemstone. Only after that, we deliver stones to you because we also, care about your loved ones.
- Perfect For: Jewelers, Jewelry makers, Goldsmiths, Designers, Craftsmen, Collectors or a gift for the special one. Each and every stone is unique and you will receive ones similar to the image shown.

As others have mentioned, the color shown is not the true color of the stone. The title or lead description says "Rare Raw Blue Sapphire 189.00 Ct Uncut Rough Sapphire Natural Raw Sapphire. . . " And there is a lot of discussion about how color determines the quality. To me, "rare raw blue," "rough sapphire," and "natural raw sapphire" implies that it is a natural unmodified stone. However, rinsing with water washed off a lot of the blue dye and it stained my fingers blue. It doesn't say they ARE DYED BLUE. It doesn't say they are NOT dyed either. But I found the description misleading. It hardness tested at >8 (8 didn't scratch, 9 did), so it is consistent with being corundum (base of sapphire). Overall, they are decent for the price; just disappointed that the cheap blue dye was not mentioned.

The crystal was artificially colored. I washed it upon receipt with alcohol and some color came off.
