I don't know where to start. Let's start with, I love it, too. Everyone I have read reviews from or heard back on questions from love love this piece. I (almost) instantly did, too. When the ring arrived, I was impressed immediately that UPS delivered. The packing was good. More about that.I almost sent the ring right back because it looked like there were 2 scratches/nicks on the stone. After some cleaning I found that it was just debris or dirt, which made me very happy because Amazon was only going to refund me, not ship me a replacement.A quick story: When I was a little girl, I had a fake ruby heart pendant. There was no metal except the bail. I wished back then it was a real stone and that someone loved me so much to give it to me. Today, 50/50 isn't bad. I have a gorgeous heart of garnet. What I like about the ring:- it fits true to size- It doesn't feel heavy at all but in no way is dainty or hollow.- it is just the right size, not gaudy- there is a protective bezel that you can see up close (look at my pic one or two) under the gold bezel, in silver, holding the stone. I didn't want the ring if the stone was glued in.- obviously the looks or I would not have bought it.- the design goes all the way around- it is stamped on the back or hallmarked 14k and Made in IsraelWhat could have gone better:- it fits true to size. Huh? I wear a 7 on my ring finger, but usually, I can wear those on my middle and index finger, whatever I feel like. This is a "true" size 7 that I got, and I'm only going to be able to fit it on my ring finger. So, decide what finger you want to wear it on and ORDER THAT SIZE.- it arrived DIRTY- NO RING BOX. For what I paid, and it was not cheap in my opinion, I should have received a ring box not a flat box with a plastic bag and snapping velour pouch. RRRSo, would I order it again, yes. It is nostalgic and for more reasons than I mentioned. There's something about it that just makes me feel happy. It looks fabulous on my ring finger and not ostentatious or like a 10 year old's ring.

I took the ring to an independent jeweler. They said it's likely not garnet because it looked too red and the "stone" (glass?) is just glued in. I love the setting so much that I decided to have it resized anyway. They warned me that the stone could melt if it was plastic and the glue could melt too. I said if the heart melts I'll find another heart and if the glue melts that is what e6000 is for. They did a beautiful job and even continued the lines for me where they added silver to the band (I needed a ten). Nothing melted. It's probably way overpriced for what it is but it brings my heart joy so, oh well.

A beautiful ring! I love the garnet heart! The gold band around the garnet heart stone really makes it pop! I love the unique band as well! True to size!
