This is my 5th order from this jeweler after returned the last 4 due to cloudy and sparkless appearance. This pair are pretty clear and sparkly even though there are still inclusions, which is expected. I will take these earrings to a jeweler to make sure the prongs are secured and the inclusions are not cracks before I decide they are keepers. I"m glad after kissing 4 frogs finally met a prince :)

Buying 1 carat diamond earth-mined earrings for less than a $1,500 isn't really possible outside of Amazon. Generally a pair of earth-mined diamond earrings in the color and clarity advertised here will cost $1,600-$2400. At this price, most diamond stud earrings on Amazon are lab grown. So needless to say, these are a good deal in 10K yellow gold — if they live up to their color and clarity descriptions.The diamonds in these earrings are certified by an agency out of India (they ship with a certification card). With 10K gold, one normally expects it to be paler shade of yellow compared to 14K, 18K and the like. However, my pair of earrings had an orange-tone (tarnish?) that was unexpected. I have sensitive ears and can't wear anything but surgical steel and genuine gold and silver. I'm also at an age where I have collected a lot of jewelry over the years but this time is the first time I have seen 10K gold look like it was alloyed with copper (or rose gold).The earrings ship in a nice box, which is not only good for gift giving but to protect the earrings from damage in shipping (important given that most Amazon-fulfilled orders, in my experience, ship in envelopes). Unfortunately, the earrings had to be returned because they are not the advertised color. I own F-J color diamond jewelry but I didn't need to compare these earrings to anything I already own to appreciate the fact that the stones were very yellow, not the near-colorless advertised (LM color range).Some buyers will see the option to "Try before you buy" which is what I would suggest if the option is available at the time of purchase. Unfortunately, on the yellow gold version of the earrings, which I purchased, wasn't part of the "Try before you buy" selection. One of the top reviews for these earrings indicates that it took five orders before receiving a pair that delivered on the advertised clarity and color. Ordering multiples and choosing which one to keep might be a good way to go if you're picky, but the caveat to that you must be willing to wait up to 30 days to process returns. (This is just a fact. It's in Amazon return policy but if you're like me and accustomed to returned items being refunded right away, please understand that for "high value items" it will be slower. I didn't know that because I have bought my fine jewelry at other retailers over the years. But having bought three different diamond earrings, all of which I returned, this is my experience which other buyers deserve to appreciate before they order more than one of these, like the other top reviewer did.)Grading diamonds is something that generally only trained gemologists can do with reliable accuracy, which is why many people prefer buying diamond jewelry that has been certified by mainline organizations such as the American Gemological Society (AGS) or the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). One simply can't tell when ordering online what to expect, but in this case the color of the stones was so visibly yellow they could not pass for the "near colorless" even to a layperson.In conclusion, Amazon asked me to edit my review because I had discussed my experience with similar orders that were also returned. These diamonds were returned for reasons that other buyers deserve an opportunity to appreciate (especially important for those who buy as a gift and not for themselves since they do not want such a gift to make a poor impression). Some may get lucky but for most the color and clarity will be consistent with the price point, not the seller description. Some of my recent reviews on Amazon reflect that it is possible to buy very nice jewelry for an excellent price. But in general, when it comes to fine jewelry if a price seems too good to be true, it often is. I was on the fence as to whether to rate this 2 stars or 3. I gave it three stars because the clarity was decent. They would have been keepers if they were white.

The diamonds were decent for the price but the presentation box was for different purposes, like earrings and a necklace. I had to go buy another box.
