I would prefer them to be 10mm but they have grown on me. It was a toss up between these and 9mm round studs but these have a lower setting and the prongs are not as prominent, so the overall presentation on ears is better. The rounds are lighter in color and would require another setting to look good. The setting is the highest for 9mm rounds, then oval (which I also love and will turn into drop earrings) and then the cushion.
