It is a very large crucifix as described. If you have any concerns as to how big it will be, a ruler is your pal. It was bigger than I expected, but upon measuring it, I found it was exactly as described. And, although it's been said to be more for guys, if you are a gal who likes something more substantial than a dainty piece of jewelry that will survive the handling of young children undamaged, then this may be for you. I have gotten so many compliments from guys and gals alike; many of whom asked me where I've gotten it so they could order it too. Also, I had a good laugh when I read what one reviewer said about her boyfriend thinking that it looked like a skeleton on the cross. I know somewhere in scripture that it says,"I can count all my bones," but how one could confuse this depiction with a skeleton rather surprises me. His torso appears a bit emaciated, as one could expect, and you can see the ribs plainly right next to his six-pack. Although I may have done a poor job in saying it, it's a large, beautiful, durable piece and I, a mom in her 40s, enjoy it greatly. On a practical note, when baking, you may wish to tuck it in your shirt. Otherwise, it swings forward, collects the heat and surprises you when you stand. Just saying. This is a beautiful crucifix, although it is larger than I expected at about 1 1/4 inches wide by 2" or more long. Despite that it wears well under my T-shirt and has never been uncomfortable (except it pokes my granddaughter's head when she lies on my lap). The cross is smooth and shiny, with no sharp or rough edges and is decorated with filagree. The corpus is finely detailed and wonderfully depicts our suffering Savior in his agony. The chain loop is somewhat larger than necessary, at more than 1/4", but it is well attached and sturdy. I don't remember how long the ball chain is, but it's at least 28" -- easily adjusted to the length you desire with a pair of side-cutters. I wear mine 24/7 with no problems, but then I wore dog tags for 28 years. This would also make a wonderful minister's cross worn over a robe on the full-length chain. I couldn't be happier.

I searched and waited, searched and waited for a while before I finally came across this Crucifix Necklace. It was exactly what I was looking for. It's large, sturdy and the detail is amazing. I ordered it to put on a thick stainless steel chain. I find it a very attractive yet manly way to show my faith in our Savior.

I loved it. It had imperfections but I did not care about that. It was kind of warped. It was bigger than expected and I the bracket broke off the chain.

Nice cross little bit large but small enough to wear under shirt.Nice long adjustble 30inch ball chain.Good strong stainless steel design.Ball chain is silver can be easily changed to colored ball chain.Nice to wear under the shirt (I wear most "necklaces" under my shirt)Perfect for large men.Adjustable with tin snips to cut ball chain but I like it long so it just hangs freely.Overall I would recommendGot it shipped to my house in 4 days.

Extremely disappointed, poor quality compared to the first Crucifix I bought last year, will be asking for a refund, this is obviously a serious defect from the solid stainless steel back, this is hollow and horrible quality, very upset.
