I own a couple other Casio solar and atomic watches and this one continues the high bar for the price-point. I purchased this as a gift for my mother after all my previously positive experiences with Casio watches. Prior to giving it to her, I did just a little prep (sat on the window sill to charge to full, set the correct time zone, etc...) which allowed me to get familiar with it (also because, you know, I'm going to have to show her how to use it...).My mother likes simplicity -she just wants a watch to tell her the time. Her previous Citizen finally bit the bullet after twenty-some years of service and innumerable battery replacements and I wanted to get her a general purpose watch that could last forever. For some bizarre reason Citizen doesn't make an Eco-Drive Atomic watch for women that's relatively affordable so, I was very pleased to discover this Casio which features a solar-powered drive AND has Multiband 6 (which is superior to Citizen's atomic receiver). Not that Casio has the broadest selection of women's watches with this feature set (I think they only have a handful) but thankfully, this is the style of watch I wanted for my mom anyway. What I (and probably not my mom) appreciates about this watch is that it's ultimately a fully-functional digital masquerading as an analog watch. It has all the standard digital watch features including a stopwatch, timer, calendar, etc... with solar-powered drive and will rarely require resetting the time. Adjusting for her (frequent) international travels is a matter of simply selecting a different city. The adjustment buttons are arranged in the same manner as all my other Casio watches which should make an easy transition for anyone used to their menu style. Each button press results in a quick menu label that is straight-forward.My only real annoyance is that the digital screen is tiny. That may not really matter to her, though, as I don't expect her to want to use the other digital features.All-in-all this is an excellent value that has no peer in this price bracket.Pros:Inexpensive stainless steel, braceletAttractive styling (for a Casio)Multiband 6Solar-powered driveHybrid analog and digital displays combine best-of-both worldsMine came in a nice looking gift boxCons:(tiny) digital screenStainless steel edges aren't the smoothest

This has more functions than any woman's watch I have ever owned or seen. The price is great as well. I love that I can do anything with it. It has a stop watch (with 2 sets), timer, and an alarm. Additionally, the digital display has options to display the date, seconds, time, or the day. My favorite is the alarm and timer - I use it every day. I've never had an issue with it not keeping good time. The initial setup was difficult until I found the English version online. Once I found my timezone on the digital display, I was good to go. Around 12am each morning the watch will search for a signal to get the precise time (this part is a little picky in that it cannot be on your wrist moving around or near metal while making contact). However, I never take it off for it to make contact because the time is always precise since I initially set it. You can also set it do DST (daylight savings time), which automatically adjusts. As far as the water resistance goes, I have taken a shower with the watch on a couple of occasions, and no issues. I do dishes and wash my hands often during the day, and the watch hasn't skipped a beat or had condensation inside the face. It has held up really well. The only thing notable is that underneath the band where it touches your skin gets very dirty, very quick. It looks like black tarnish from the metal. It didn't do that for the first year and a half that I had it, so it could just be that the band is beginning to wear a little. The only draw back for me, and why I am switching to Citizen, is that these watches are extremely casual. I need a watch I can wear for both date night or around the house. I don't like to switch out watches for the sake of look, so if it had a little more classy look I'd pretty much think it was a perfect piece, never wanting another.Overall:The hardest part about looking for another watch is rarely will a woman's watch give you this many functions and options, especially for this price. I am sad to not find something at least a little more attractive in the Casio Waveceptor line. Otherwise, this watch is perfect. With all that said, I'd recommend this to ANYONE, any day of the week. It's truly a bargain.

Bought this watch for my wife. She is finding that the white hands on white background makes it difficult to read. Had to download the manual and even with it, had trouble getting it to display the same correct digital and analog time. Wrist band very easy to adjust. Keeps excellent time as expected. No problems with the solar charging system so far.

My wife loves it. A few years ago, as a gift, I gave her a Seiko solar watch. It died. It was very tiny, and had few features. It was very fussy. I bought this Casio as a replacement. It is a real, tough watch, but it is also extremely elegant. A great watch that is styled for a woman. However, it is still very high tech, not just a piece of "glam." It is a "set it, and forget it" watch: Solar charging, automatic, satellite atomic clock. A lot of stuff is packed into this little watch. I've had a men's Casio solar/satellite watch for over five years. I have never re-set it. Both watches reset at midnight, automatically, to the exact second. Casio should sell this watch in the US!A great woman's watch and it is totally maintenance free.
