Excellent watch. Better fitting and looking than the 3195 (GW-2310), which looks too compact and has chrome plastic along the crown (see pix). Additionally, MM is bigger and I like bigger. My wrists are slim but MM looks nice on my wrist. Wrist band is more flexible. Looking cleaner like a commando or special forces piece of equipment, the MM is a great watch, my favorite.Only drawback is there is no multi-band 6 (atomic time) feature for this version of the MM. Paying an additional $100 more, the Japanese version has this atomic time component and is readily available through Amazon. This component is not a big deal with me since setting time with the MM is real simple and as long as I'm within 10 seconds of NIST time then I'm good. I highly recommend this very durable watch without the multi-band 6 component since setting time adjustments are very easy.

Purchased this MUDMAN because I needed a everyday watch I do not need to worry too much about getting messed up. I have 6.5 inch wrist and was at first scared that the mudman would be to large for me. I am giving this product 5 stars because this watch is perfect for people with smaller wrist even though it still is a large watch. This watch has got to be one of the most comfortable watches I have worn that has tons of gadgetry. This watch is very strong, sturdy, and surprisingly light for its size. I highly recommend this watch to people who need a good looking, everyday watch that has almost all the functions a normal person needs for a good price. I returned the G-shock frogman because it is simply too expensive and has similar amounts of functions as the MUDMAN. I do not mind that this watch is not atomic. I dont need the time to be perfect down to the last second. As long as its within the same minute , that is good enough for me.

I got this watch because I needed a something that could take a beating and keep going. I recently got a job where I am constantly getting dirty, sweating and crawling around in the dirt, and I realized I didn't have a watch that was comfortable exposing to that kind of abuse. So what did I do? I spent days researching G shock and similar watches, of course! I watched tons of YouTube videos and read countless reviews on Amazon. I got in deep. In the end this is what I decided on. I have only had it for a week but it was like love at first sight when I opened the box. I've worn it every day since and have absolutely no worries when I wear it at my job, or anywhere else.I would like to do an update review later on down the road once I have truly broken this bad boy in. Stay tuned.Update: 02/11/18It’s been 7 months since I’ve had this watch and I still wear it every day! At least on the days I work, the ole 5 out of 7 days a week. As a plumber, this watch has seen some ****, and I do mean that quite literally, as well as figuratively. This thing is built like a tank and I have never once been concerned about getting this watch “too dirty” or “too wet”, etc.Now with that being said, I feel I should add that that durability comes with a price. This is a bulky watch. There’s no arguing about it. Now, whether or not that is something that is going to bother you, only you can decide. To me, it is a fair trade off. Personally, the size doesn’t bother me, unless I’m dressed up heavily for winter and have a lot of layers on. However, to be fair, I think most watches might feel uncomfortable and/or bunched up on your wrist If you have a lot of layers on. So, not really a big deal but I thought it to be worth mentioning. And although it is of larger size, I generally find it to be quite comfortable. I have a 6.75 inch wrist, which is smaller than most. With that being said, this watch doesn’t overpower my wrist. My favorite thing about it besides it’s durability is that it is extremely accurate in its ability to keep time. I never have to worry about having to adjust the time or date. It’s easy to read in basically all types of light and conditions. I find the feature where you raise and turn your wrist to activate the backlight to be particularly useful. With that feature on I almost never have to. Press any of the buttons. This watch has a LOT of features. I never use the compass or the thermometer. I really don’t have any use for them. Same goes for the moon phase icon. I will admit, it is cool to have it there, but honestly I just don’t ever use it! So thankfully it is just tucked away off to the side there and out of the way. The “second hand” icon is also pretty cool, but I think it is just that, pretty cool. To me, it doesn’t serve any other purpose besides adding a little wonder to the face of the watch. I do find myself staring at it sometimes, though, so I guess there’s that.I enjoy that this watch is solar powered. Since I’ve had it, the battery has mostly stayed on High, with only dropping down to Medium over the past month or so. I have never taken the time to set it out in the sun to recharge it. Perhaps I will do that some time.Overall, I am still happy with my purchase, and I plan on continuing to update my review later down the road. Cheers!Update: 03/18/23I actually still wear this watch daily through the week. It still keeps time just fine, hasn’t broke down on me, no cracks on the crystal, barely even scratched really. And I’ve literally never considered taking it off to protect it from ANYTHING. Solar power is still working great, stays on High. I love if it gets dirty I can just run it under some water since it’s waterproof. I still think the backlight is cool as well.

I paid $132 for this Mudman twin sensor. I was looking for the least expensive G-shock with compass and thermometer. The watch has nice features like world time, month and date plus day of the week. 4 separate alarms, Countdown timer, moon phases, and compass and thermometer plus 200 meter water resistance round out the features.Setup is tedious and you really need to use the itsy-bitsy printed manual but the instructions are accurate. The night light is typical green "indiglo" type and is programmable for 1 second or 3 second duration. Wish it had LED illumination at this price point but you can't have it all I guess. For my 46 year-old eyes most of the display reads fine for all but the smallest font settings. I gave it 3 stars for the water resistance ONLY because the watch is encased in a rubber case and I am unsure if water or sweat can get trapped between the watch case and the rubber surround. This is more noticeable on the back of the watch.Have had no issues in the week I have had it and am wearing it as my daily watch. Will update this review if anything goes south with the watch.
