I have number of fancy-pantsy Swiss made watches, and was very surprised when I opened the box. You can tell right away that this watch is high quality. All the lettering is very precise, the molded...silicone, feels fantastic. Reminds me a lot of my Cartier watch bracelet, minus the clasp. The buckle is very practical, but would be awesome if they had a clasp option! The functions are fantastic as well. No need for a wrist gadget tethered to you forearm. I love the radio sync to an atomic clock. The ability to see two times zones is great, and you can also easily set alarms, to 5 timezones. Stop watch is good. Gives you a spit for two times, and the countdown feature is interesting...not sure what I would use it for...perhaps for making my morning tea, lol.The light feature is very useful, just turn your wrist in the dark and here you are, nice and bright display. There are other features that people really like, but these are the ones that I'll be using all the time.I hear some complaints that this G-Shock is small...but I think this is ridiculous. It's great size for a sports watch, but I guess if you're a guy who's into those really big pocket-watch size watches like I see some guys love in Miami, then yes go a larger size and a brighter color or finish, but then you lose the fantastic classic 80s style.I can see now why so many watch lovers rant about G-Shocks now. They are just class, and fits in with any collection. My only complaint is that this particular model was made for the Japanese market, and apparently was shipped from Japan, which is sort of cool, but it would have been great to have some sort of marking on the back showing this, especially if there was something written in Japanese. Hope Casio will address this issue. Looks like I'm not the only who isn't happy about this. But the back does say UK/CA...maybe that's how you can tell the models apart? Would love to know.Last thing that I really like, is that this watch has a mat black velvety finish/material, and that just makes it pop, when compared to lower quality quarts watches. Now I shall see how durable this watch really is ; )

This watch is a real looker! However, if you have a large wrist, like I do, it is going to look very small.

This watch is low profile and wears REALLY well. It has a great easy-to-read screen and the band feels really good to me. All of the buttons are easy to operate aside from the main Settings button (which is only slightly more difficult to press with bare fingers - and that is a good thing). It has everything you'd expect from a good G-Shock: multiple alarms, hourly chime, chrono, stopwatch, day of week/month/day display, I lost count on how many time zones, daylight savings time, decent backlight, metal band clasp and probably many things that I'm forgetting right now. This one has Multi-Band 6 (it sets itself every night from an atomic clock via radio signals across the USA and a few other countries) and the battery is charged via solar power.I love it and I'd recommend it to anyone who can appreciate the looks of an iconic G-Shock.

Really love this Casio GShock model. Owned a lot of digital watches, but this one is the best for me because of its functionality. It is "Tough Solar" solar charging, multi-band atomic timekeeping, shock resistance, and power-saving function plus the famous G-Shock toughness. Well worth the price. Arrived in a well packaged box. Definitely , this watch will serve me for a long time due to its rugged design and designed by Casio. Will buy again from this seller due to its really good customer service.

Can confirm other reviews though, the alarm, whether using for the alarm or countdown timer setting, is very quiet. Otherwise, a perfect watch.

The media could not be loaded.  Sturdy, classic looking, dead accurate, solar powered, inexpensive. This one feels like it's going to be on my wrist for a long long time.Cons:If your timezone is not "classified" as fit to receive a signal, it won't even try. Which is a shame because I can get a signal from here, not a strong one, but I know enough to sync the watch. Some bug repellent sprays can stain the strap, but given it's a G Shock, those are just battle scars :)

People buy the CASIO G-Shock GW-M5610U-1JF for a myriad of reasons: it could be due to a sense of nostalgia, its durability, reliability, its size, or just by its sleek looks. Nevertheless, for whatever reason, I am certain that it will absolutely serve its purpose. As for me, I bought this watch to be worn at home (aka beater watch) in lieu of my Apple watch and my Hamilton Field Automatic. I could wear this watch carefree without any fear of getting damaged. As the 5610 became a part of my regular rotation, I noticed that it is getting more wrist time compared to my Apple watch. With Tough Solar technology, I never need to charge the watch nor worry that it's running out of juice - the total opposite of my Apple watch. With its Multiband 6, I am confident that the watch is accurate to the second despite the lack of radio wave reception in my location here in the Philippines. However, thanks to the radio wave apps, I could manually sync my time to the Atomic clock. I recently had a vacation on the island of Palawan and the 5610 served as my daily driver for the duration of my trip. From water activities to every life on the island, you can be sure that the watch can carry the load without fail. I also find it very practical for travel as I feel free and untethered since I don't need to charge the watch from time to time You guys should try it sometime, it's liberating. That is why, the 5610 had become my go to travel watch. If you are still on the fence, think no further and just pull the trigger, you won't regret it.
