These are really pretty moonstone dupe earrings, made with sterling silver which means they are going to last. Despite the synthetic used, they look very much like real moonstone coloring but lack an irregular pattern natural rocks have. At least there are no bubbles in this shiny iridescent luster. They do not mention this in the ad, and sneaky to add it into one of the photos. It is very important to look for these hidden clues, and not to buy if it isn't listed at all. This is not listed in the product specifications either, nor the product description below the initial listing.Take good care of these and they will last for years, remove when applying chemical products to avoid ruining the synthetic moonstone- perfume, body spray, bug repellent, hair spray, lotions, etc. Wipe with a soft cloth damp or dry, wash on an as-needed basis with mild soap and water with a soft toothbrush, and wipe dry with a soft cloth.This might be worth it to someone who enjoys butterflies and moonstone color, but this is not an authentic moonstone. These are a little spendy if you ask me, but unless someone explains to me how the synthetic moonstone is made maybe it is still worth it. I don't know. I would buy these for myself though, and a gift if someone really liked seeing the pair I was wearing. 4 stars as it lacked in letting you know what you are buying upfront.

I was going to give these earrings as a gift but I liked them so much I’m keeping them for myself! The moonstones are very pretty and I like that the metal is stainless steel. I don’t usually sleep in my earrings but I did with these one night and they never bothered me since they are such good quality. Beautiful, good quality earrings at an affordable price that will make a good gift or keep them for yourself!

The photos show a very pretty blue color.....you do get this color, but it's not consistent. The earring is more of an opalescent/iridescent color that changes depending on the light. It is lightweight and hypoallergenic which is nice. These earrings come with 2 different backs: metal and clear and a cleaning cloth. If you are giving as a gift, it comes in a box but the earrings are in a plastic sleeve so you may want to open it and take the earrings out of the plastic bags and set them in the box for gifting. If you or someone you know are into gemology, moonstone is known for channeling the feminine side to help with creativity and restoration. These are synthetic so I'm not sure if it still holds true, but they are very nice.

I only gave 4 stars because of my disappointment of how tiny they are. I like the silver borders on the blue as it goes with my silver hair. It's hard to tell they are blue as they are so tiny. They are comfortable and do not irritate my ears. They are great for everyday wear and come with both metal and plastic backs in a nice gift box. I think they would make a nice gift for a young girl or a woman of any age.
