This watch is beautiful. Very elegant. If you watch the video on it, it's every bit as shiny as that video. The watch itself is surprisingly light (especially compared to some very large sized invicta watches I've worn) but doesn't feel cheap or easily broken. The packaging is a bit lackluster. Maybe I was just spoiled by other watch makers including several books and warranty cards and pillows to rest the watch on. This watch came with a nice box with card board bed for the watch but and only 1 short multi language book that was very well hidden under foam in the top of the box.The outer ring of the watch face is flat white and it's adjustable by the single knob on the opposite side of the crown. That is really neat and I haven't seen a feature like that on other watches. The face itself is like a satin white. It's very nice. Another thing I like about this watch is the date is not very recessed like some other watches. When it's too deep it casts a hard shadow making it hard to read. This one only has a slight shadow and the bright red number is easy to read against the white. The chronograph is really nice too. I have not played with it too much yet but I believe the dial furthest from the crown is minutes so, I think it's only a 60 minute chronograph. The bottom dial is the seconds for the main watch and the second hand of the watch is the seconds for the chronograph. A lot of people don't realize that on the nicer watches and it appears to me to be fairly common design. What I love the most about the chronograph, however, is the dial closest to the crown. It's actually 10ths of seconds. That's really cool. I own 2 other nice watches that both have chronos and neither of them have this. The band is something I think people should know about too. For me it's probably my second favorite thing about the watch but it might not be so for others. I have about 8.5 inch diameter wrist. A lot of watches I buy only just barely fit me. This watch has a huge sized band. It fits me just right. It's loose enough I could stick my fingers underneath but not too loose to come off my hand. That's what I like about it. For most others with smaller wrists you will need to have some links taken out I think. In summary, I've only worn this watch for about a day and I haven't got any compliments yet but everyone I walk by I see their eyes go right for it. It definitely is eye catching. It's has some nice features and its quality is what you would expect from its namesake Bulova. I have an invcta, citizen and fossil watch but, this is now my favorite. I won't wear it every day because of how flashy it is but I do love to wear it. I recommend this watch completely so far as long as it holds up over time. But there is a 3 year warranty so I'm not too worried on that.

My uncle received as a retirement gift a very nice Citizen Eco-Drive. He loved that watch and cherished it. Less than a year after he received it, it was stolen from him in a restaurant (long story). He was devastated. My brother and I decided to get him a replacement. It needed to be big and colorful and bold and eye catching, just like my uncle was. We also wanted the watch to be of a brand that he would instantly recognize as high quality and luxury. This watch fit the bill in all respects. We went with the blue stainless model, which looks great. It is a large watch, and wears large, so I would be wary if you have small wrists. My uncle loved this watch, which we have to him as a Christmas present. He was very touched that we bought it for him. He was not yet comfortable enough wearing it outside of the house when he suddenly collapsed from a heart attack. His neighbor and close friend rushed to his aide and performed CPR, but he was unable to save him despite his best efforts. My uncle was not a man of a great number of material possessions, so this was a notable item when we were going through his things after he passed. We decided to give it to his friend and neighbor who tried to save him after he collapsed. His friend was extremely grateful and wears the watch to this day.Anyway, this is a great, big, bold watch. Here's to you Uncle Peter! Five stars.

Very good looking watch, large face and durable rubber band. Fairly priced.

Very nice heft, nice color and look. I like the red face.

I was looking for a watch that had a more industrial look to it without having unnecessary design elements. I wear a contrast cut black/natural titanium ring and wanted something to coordinate with. The red face has really grown on me, despite wanting something a little less "hot rod" in theme.Pros: This thing feels VERY substantial. I mean, it's heavy. On the other hand, I got used to wearing it within a couple days, and now it's very comfortable. The band is also very smooth on the wrist, and the multiple adjustments are fantastic. I had a local watch shop remove four links (two from each side of the clasp), then size it with the adjustable clasp, and it fits perfectly. Also, getting it for under $300 made this an absolute no-brainier for me.Cons: If you're sensitive to weight on your arm, this watch isn't for you. As mentioned, it's heavy. "Heavy is good, heavy is reliable. If it does not work, you can always hit them with it." It's not an automatic, and I knew that going into it. I feel this would be the perfect watch for me if it were, but it would also come with a higher price.Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this thing. I've only had it about a week, but I feel great about the purchase.

This is my first Bulova watch but had Accutron watches in the past (made by Bulova) which I loved. The photos don't do it justice. It is a beautiful timepiece - like the way the whole band and case is designed with polished and brushed stainless steel. What is supposed to be the second hand is not actually a second hand but part of the chronograph. It is an odd set up but I guess it is there to conserver battery (?). Overally, really satisfied with the watch. It's a great watch when you just want to go analog instead of "smart".
