I ordered this because of the shape, the " I " looks like a peanut, LOL, which has significance to me. I really love this necklace! It is nice quality and really sparkles and does not look much like the initial I and could be worn by anyone as just a sparkly elongated shaped pendant OR peanut ;) My family felt that way and none thought it looked like an I initial, per se. I suppose if you would like it to look more like a traditional shaped " I " then you might not like this style for your initial.I also think the chain is very nice. I did add an extender to it, too short for me.I would recommend this necklace, whatever the initial, very pretty.
