I was skeptical about ordering an Irish pin that was not made in Ireland, but I needed a reasonably priced option for an outfit I was putting together. This bronze Tara brooch caught my eye. It arrived nicely packaged with cleaning instructions, and I was pleasantly surprised how nice it looked! It's even prettier than the photos show. The pin mechanism is a simple one--no rollover safety clasp--just a simple C clasp. NOTE: It is not a true working Celtic penannular brooch/clasp--the "pin" part is a decorative part of the design. It has a separate pin on the back of the brooch. That's what I wanted, as I'm using it to close up a plunging neckline, and it works great for that. I'm very happy with this brooch.
