The BRAUN BN0032BKBKG men's watch is really nice. It is just the right size. It is lightweight, relatively thin, and very easy to read. BRAUN watches are nice to look at, unlike the run of the mill sports type watches - this watch has a classic look to it that I appreciate.

Nice watch! The style is clean, it feels well made, and I've already gotten plenty of compliments on it. My only gripe with the watch, is the band. The band is leather, but the thin strip on the sides I believe is rubber and is already starting to peel. Everything else about the watch is great. I've owned enough watches, so I already know I will eventually have to replace the band. Until that happens, I'm pretty happy with it.

It's funny. Seeing Apple Watches everywhere made me want a traditional watch.I love the simple, clean look of this watch, and I get a lot of compliments on it.However, I've only had it for 3 months, and I'm already dealing with 2 quality issues.First, the band is already peeling. I didn't buy this watch expecting it to last forever, but this started after less than 3 months of use. Also, the day counter is screwy. I have to set it at least once a month because it often falls a day behind. The hour and minute hands work fine, so this is a little perplexing.

but this new watch just isn't quite the same. First off, I'm bothered that it is not marked anywhere on watch or packaging where the watch is made, so I assume it is from China. I have several original German-made Braun watches, and this watch does capture the flavor of their appearance without being a slavish copy. Given the scale of today's watches, my vintage Brauns look downright tiny on my wrist. At 40 mm this one is very nicely sized. The black case looks as if it is painted satin black--hopefully the finish will hold up. The leather band is thin, but looks nice and feels similar to the German-made bands that Braun used in the past. The band itself seems a bit too long so it really wraps around, and I don't have a dainty little wrist. There are two leather loops to hold the excess, but only one can be moved for best location.Mixed emotions here, even though I knew going in this watch is made under license by Braun rather than by the company itself. On the plus side it looks very nice, appears to be well made, and is comfortable on my wrist. Negatives include unknown country of origin, unknown durability, and awfully ambitious pricing. I'm happy to add it to my watch collection, hopefully that first impression will hold.
