This is definitely made of rocks. The beads are huge and really only for wearing out not for sitting with on a computer or typing or anything where your wrist has to touch a desk or table. They are good quality hefty beads. My husband wears them off and on and we can't say we have noticed anything health related with them but it is probably very subtle if anything. If you like big heavy chunky beads this one's for you.
